Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply to quotes, bookings and electrical work carried out by Bright Electrical.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to all electrical services provided by Bright Electrical (ABN 16 739 469 287) in Sydney, Australia. By requesting a quote or booking work, you agree to these terms.

2. Quotes

Quotes are provided free of charge and without obligation. Unless stated otherwise, a quote is valid for 30 days and is based on the information available at the time of inspection or enquiry.

Where hidden conditions are discovered once work begins — such as concealed damage, non-compliant existing wiring or asbestos — we will stop, inform you, and provide a revised price before continuing.

3. Bookings and access

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area at the agreed time. If our electrician cannot gain access, or the site is unsafe, a call-out charge may apply.

We ask for as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule so we can offer the slot to another customer.

4. Workmanship and compliance

All work is carried out by licensed electricians in accordance with AS/NZS 3000 and applicable NSW regulations. Certificates of Compliance for Electrical Work are issued where required.

We warrant our workmanship for a period of 12 months from completion. Materials and appliances are covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

5. Customer-supplied materials

We are happy to install materials you supply, provided they are Australian-approved and suitable for the location. Our workmanship warranty applies to installation only, not to the supplied item.

6. Payment

Unless other arrangements are agreed in writing, payment is due on completion of the work. Larger projects may require a progress payment schedule, which will be set out in the quote.

All prices include GST unless otherwise stated. Overdue accounts may incur reasonable recovery costs.

7. Emergency and after-hours work

Emergency and after-hours attendance is charged at rates advised to you before we dispatch an electrician. Emergency work is focused on making the installation safe; permanent rectification may require a follow-up visit.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to those rights, our liability is limited to re-performing the services or paying the cost of having them re-performed.

We are not liable for pre-existing defects in an installation that were not part of the agreed scope of works.

9. Cancellations

You may cancel a booking at any time. Where materials have been ordered specifically for your job or an electrician has already been dispatched, reasonable costs incurred may be payable.

10. Contact

For any question about these terms, please call 0421 664 004 or use the contact form on our website. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
